MISSION
Seniors2Work aims to provide free employment services to lower Fairfield County job seekers, age 50 +, and to serve employers throughout the region looking to hire skilled, dependable, mature workers. Working with businesses throughout lower Fairfield County, Seniors2Work solicits full-time and part-time employment opportunites. Employers are targeted who appreciate the dedication, work ethic and experience that mature workers bring to the workplace.
OVERVIEW
Seniors2Work is a not for profit employment referral service and is a new offering of Jewish Family Service of Stamford, Inc.’s Employment and Training Services. This program assists individuals explore employment opportunities (full-time, part-time or temporary) based on each person’s experience, education, interest and needs. The goal is to help older workers find satisfying employment opportunities while, at the same time, provide a service for employers to easily identify qualified, pre-screened personnel. The benefits are two-fold: for prospective employees it eliminates competition with younger job seekers and it facilitates a connection with employers receptive to the mature worker.
FUNDING
Seniors2Work, a not for profit 501(c)3 organization, is a pilot program funded by DSS. Our continued financial support is dependent upon the generosity of foundations, corporations, local government and friends, who recognize the value of our services. Contributions to Seniors2Work are tax deductible to the full extent of the law.
